Who am I as an artist?
Lovey is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and filmmaker whose work carves space for truth, transformation, and tenderness. Rooted in personal mythology and collective memory, her practice moves between film, performance, text, and ritual—often engaging themes of trauma, eroticism, existential landscapes, and resurrection. Lovey’s art is a form of survival and devotion; a love letter to the parts of us that were never meant to be seen, but demand to be witnessed.
Currently based in Toronto, Lovey has worked within the film industry in the art department, while independently developing her directorial voice. Her debut short film, now in post-production, explores the emotional aftershocks of violence through image, gesture, and the sacred mess of blood, paint, and feminine rage.
Whether crafting immersive installations, experimenting with photography, or writing lyrical prose, Lovey creates from the edge—where the personal becomes political, and art becomes altar. She is devoted to building intimate worlds where vulnerability is not weakness, but a radiant, radical act.
