I am devoted to creating intimate worlds where vulnerability is not weakness, but a radiant, radical act.

Lovey Brar is a multidisciplinary Indo-Canadian artist, writer, and filmmaker whose work holds space for truth, transformation, and tenderness. Rooted in personal mythology, culture, and memory, her practice moves between film, performance, text, and ritual—exploring trauma, eroticism, and resurrection. Her art is survival and devotion; a love letter to what was never meant to be seen, but demands to be witnessed. Based in Toronto, she has worked in the film industry’s art department while developing her directorial voice. Her debut short film, now in post-production, confronts the aftershocks of violence through blood, paint, and feminine rage. Across film, installation, photography, and prose, Lovey creates from the edge—where the personal becomes political, and art becomes altar.
